yesterday was SYF Central Judging for Display Band Competition, feeling abit nostalgic because this time round, instead of standing in the field playing the instrument and doing the formation, i was seated at the grandstand looking at all the other schools perform.

Remember those days with rashes on my legs cause of the mud after the rain, or even during the rain, the exhuasting and torturous camps each and every year to train and prepare us physically and mentally (that's why i was a blackie and so skinny back then)... and i remembered once when i fell ill with high fever, and tears started rolling down my eyes because i was really too stressed up with council, band and academic... duh duh duh... it's been 3 years since i done that.

anyways, this was my favourite formation out of the entire displays the schools put up. OH YA, and i can't believe bowen got a gold when BUKIT PANJUNG GOVT HIGH definitely did so much better than them and they were only landed with a silver... i was thinking bowen was too over with their traditional and authentic chinese chinese kinda thing till it really turned me off. Even their music was not hipe up to entice the audience, or maybe it's just me. HAHA..



Nonetheless, all schools really did a commendable performance because i know the hardwork behind all these trainings. Special commendation to Hwa Chong Institution, they shd just take part in the display competition because i'm sure their skills in terms of music and marching are comparable to those bands who're alr in the competition. They've got really nice sound despite playing on the field. THUMBS UP TO THEM!

ok, SYF aside.. joined the juniors of a sumptous dinner at Suntec's Swensen's last night. Laughter definitely was in the air... anyways, it's interesting listening to Bryan telling me about what he has been doing for his counsel job in NS. It really helps u to think critically and thus twist the qn such that they are able to answer them in the end. FUN!!! =P
